The City of Lexington has received multiple inquiries regarding this month's Utility Bills. The current utility bill that is due March 01, 2024 contains the utility readings/ consumption from December 28th - February 1st. This will include the freeze we had in January. If you have any concerns or questions regarding your utility bill, please give us a call or come by City Hall and we will be happy to review the consumption and charges with you. Construction along Third Street for the Sidewalk Improvement Project

The City of Lexington’s’ contractor (WJC Construction) began the sidewalk construction along the Third Street downtown sidewalk, between Rockdale Street and Main Street this morning. During this time, there will be construction-related noise and some minor traffic disruption with temporary lane/right-of-way closures anticipated. This project will build new sidewalks in the city, improving safety for pedestrians, including children who walk to and from school. Thank you for your patience during this time. This is a free, family-friendly event organized to help strengthen our community spirit. National Night Out’s mission of crime prevention and community partnerships is now more important than ever. The event features crime prevention, safety messages from a variety of agencies and activities for the kids. As in the past, National Night Out is only made possible through the generous contributions from the community.
