The City of Lexington’s Well #6 is experiencing a pump or system failure. The City of Lexington is asking customers to take the necessary action to use water as efficiently as possible.
Stage 5 Triggers—EMERGENCY Water Shortage Conditions
- Major water line breaks, or pump or system failures occur, which cause unprecedented loss of capability to provide water service.
Stage 5 Response—EMERGENCY Water Shortage Conditions
The City of Lexington is prohibiting the following until further notice. The City of Lexington will take immediate action if anyone fails to comply with the Stage 5 Water Shortage Restrictions until further notice.
- The filling, refilling, or adding of water to swimming pools, wading pools, and Jacuzzi-type pools is prohibited.
- The City of Lexington will cease the flushing of all fire hydrants.
- Irrigation of landscaped areas is absolutely prohibited.
- Use of water to wash any motor vehicle, motorbike, boat, trailer, airplane or other vehicle is absolutely prohibited.
