Animal Services

Under the leadership of the Lexington Police Department, the City of Lexington Animal Services is dedicated to helping protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in the community. 

   • Responding to stray animal or barking dog complaints
   • Investigating dangerous animals and animal bites
   • Catching loose livestock
   • Trapping nuisance wildlife
   • Removing animal carcasses
   • Enforcing city animal ordinances
